Treats operative
The aim of a treats operative is to ensure that anything treats related from monitoring stock, quality control through to packing into retail packaging and labelling is completed within the treats department. You will report directly to the treats supervisor.
- Ensure both stock checks and packaging stock checks are done on a weekly basis
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment and implementing health and safety policies and procedures while keeping updated within the field
- Order any required packaging and treats to ensure finished products are available to fulfill orders. (the aim is to stay a few months ahead with the treats stock to cater for seasonal/unexpected sales)
- Prioritise packing tasks to ensure all orders can be fulfilled
- Operate packing machinery (filling, sealing & printing)
- Follow packing procedures to ensure finished product is both fully Quality controlled and packed in correct packaging,
- Maintain database/inventory (have a good level of computer literacy)
- Quarantine any new deliveries, carry out Quality control, and liaising with management / supplier when there is an issue
- Maintaining logs to ensure traceability and compliance with AHVLA
- Implementing new processes, enhancing existing processes, introducing new products.
- Ensuring that all aspect of health and safety within the department are adhered too
Current opening hours are 8am-8pm Monday – Friday, rota basis of 35 hours per week.
